Our Projects & Partnerships

Our Focus

We are supporting projects that help our McKenzie River community build towards a brighter future.

Our Vision Is Your Vision

  • Community Resiliency: Our goal is to foster local projects that strengthen and inspire communities through education and skill building to withstand, adapt to, and recover from adversity.
  • Economic Revitalization: We are actively building partnerships and collaborating with likeminded organizations to identify and implement projects to revitalize the McKenzie River economy.
  • Environmental Resiliency: We have productive relationships with partners including The McKenzie River Trust and EWEB to identify projects that will conserve, rehabilitate, and restore the environment of the McKenzie River.

Featured Projects

Economic Resiliency – Tiny Business Village

“Tiny Business Village” proposed by Locals in Blue River to help re-Seed Businesses after the Fire.

Water & Sanitary Infrastructure

The McKenzie River was long overdue for key infrastructure upgrades and this organization has been working to ensure that some good comes out of the Holiday Farm Fire.

Holiday Lights

Getting in the Holiday Spirit! Fun holiday activities bring the community together! Get creative with your lights for a beautiful evening drive – stop for dinner at McKenzie Station Pub or Obsidian Grill.

Partnerships

Like in many areas of the country – especially rural communities – the infrastructure of the McKenzie River needed investment and upgrading well before the tragic events of the Holiday Farm Fire.

We are now presented with an even greater need, and an opportunity to rebuild in a better way to enable and boost the future growth potential of our community and local economy.

There are many projects which would achieve this purpose, such as building a better communal water & sanitary infrastructure, burying power lines, laying new road surfaces and many others. The MCP understands that partnerships are key to achieving our goals and that this is the time to invest energy and resources into future-proofing the region and making the McKenzie River ready to grow and thrive in the decades to come.
