Blue River Drive Community Meeting

Lane County is hosting a community meeting on Saturday, June 24, to get feedback on three possible concepts for Blue River Drive, including bike lanes, on-street parking, and sidewalks.
Lane County would like to develop a design concept for Blue River Drive that reflects community preferences. Creating a solid vision for Blue River Drive is needed to provide better direction for people rebuilding post-Holiday Farm Fire.
A community supported plan would also help Lane County pursue grant funding for eventually constructing the desired roadway.
Join Lane County Transportation Planning staff on Saturday, June 24, from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the McKenzie School Old Gym (51187 Blue River Drive).

On April 25, 2023, the Lane County Board of Commissioners approved code amendments to recognize the existing right-of-way widths of all roads in downtown Blue River, eliminating wider setback requirements. The amendments were approved with an emergency clause for immediate effectiveness. The action supports rebuilding in Blue River, especially the downtown portion that has smaller lot sizes.
