Blue River TGM County Work Session

County Staff gave a presentation to the Planning commissioners in a work session on July 16th. A public hearing will take place on Tuesday, August 6th at 7pm. and Tuesday, August 20th at 7pm.

Blue River DESPERATELY needs new options to allow businesses to rebuild. Current land use rules and restrictions has kept people from building and investing in Blue River. It’s time to start planning for Blue River’s rebirth for the next 100 years. Emails of support are needed ASAP!

Proposal: The proposal is to amend the Lane County Rural Comprehensive Plan and Lane Code Chapter 16 for the purpose of implementing a Complete Community Plan for the unincorporated community of Blue River.
Changes include flexible zoning for down town Blue River to promote compact, small-town development patterns with an active and convenient pedestrian environment along a mixed use Blue River Drive and mixed use within the community boundary.
It will also expand the community boundary to include the Blue River park and add new zones applicable to the community. Full Proposal
Following Planning Commission Action, the recommendations and proposed amendments will considered for adoption by the Board of County Commissioners.
