Journey Under The Sea

Dive into an ocean of hands-on science fun while exploring Oregon’s underwater environments.
Discover the amazing variety of life beneath the waves in beautiful kelp forests or rugged, rocky reefs.
Engage in activities and investigations that will inspire you to protect Oregon’s diverse ocean habitat.
The Journey Under the Sea program is targeted for a family audience with school age children and is presented by a museum educator. The program includes a short presentation (20-25 minutes) followed by activity tables offering a variety of fun, hands-on activities.
Join us at the O’Brien Memorial Library temporarily housed at the Upper McKenzie Community Center for this aweome learning opportunity!

Journey Under the Sea aligns with the national iREAD summer reading program theme—Read, Renew, Repeat—which focuses on the ideas of conservation, healthy ecosystems, and protecting biodiveristy.
