April 5 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

A pH test will tell you how acidic or basic your soil is. Most plants prefer slightly acidic to neutral soils, but some plants grow best in more acidic soils (blueberries, rhododendrons, azaleas, etc.). Soil nutrients are also affected by the soil pH.

– Bring 1 cup of dry soil for each sample
– Seal each dry soil sample in a plastic bag and label it with your name and location in garden (i.e. blueberries, vegetables, or lawn)
– You will be asked to fill out a form with your contact information
Master Gardeners will contact you with results and recommendations within 2 weeks
– Cost is $2 for each sample (limit 3) cash only, please
– Bring your samples to the OSU Extension Service, 996 Jefferson Street, Eugene
