Your Monthly Elevator Story Workshop

October 13, 2023 @ 9:30 am - 10:30 am

Are you ready to practice your Elevator Story?

An elevator story (or elevator pitch) is a brief (think 30 seconds!) way of introducing yourself, getting across a key point or two, and making a connection with someone. It’s called an elevator pitch because it takes roughly the amount of time you’d spend riding an elevator with someone. If you happen to bump into someone you’ve been dying to meet in an elevator, how will you introduce yourself, get your point across, and ask to stay connected—all before that person gets off the elevator!
Elevator pitches are handy to have in mind any time you’re at an event where you might meet prospective job or networking connections.

Then, a moment later, click on Add to Calendar. A few minutes before the event, come on back to this post and click on the same button that will then say “Join Event” or “Enter Waiting Room.”

#1 TIP: If you have not already done so, we recommend you review the Resources section in the right-hand sidebar of this group for the replay of our short presentation with Elevator Story templates.

We look forward to going around our virtual room, sharing our 30-60 second elevator stories, giving feedback and networking. We will open the room a few minutes before we start. Please join us then to make sure your camera and mic are working and to make sure you get a turn before our time runs out since we go in the order in which you arrive in the room.

BTW: These are NOT recorded because it is a workshop not a presentation. Most people won’t sit through a 90 minute recording of hearing other people’s Elevator Stories and our feedback.

As small business coaches, we look forward to helping you in every way we can!
