The Red Cross has issued this update for all those concerned that they will lose their sponsored hotels places in the first week of October.
The 10/2 is NOT, repeat NOT, a hard checkout. We continue to message that we will never be kicking people out. One of our challenges is that we have a lot of local red crossers who are active in the community but have not been a part of a disaster this large; please know we are quickly trying to educate them every day so that we avoid these types of mistakes. The Red Cross is here as a partner and we will keep you informed on our changes. As we begin to shift into recovery, we may (MAY) consolidate some of our hotels. If we do that it will be with you being informed and the clients informed in a consistent and timely fashion.
