After we posted about the incredible efforts over the last month by the volunteer Oregon Internet Response (OIR) team to restore communication to the Holiday Farm Fire area KEZI 9 News came out to Rainbow this weekend to interview Matt Sayre from OIR and help spread the word that while we might not be streaming Netflix any time soon the valley does now have basic comms enabling most of the businesses up and down Highway 126 affected by the fire to reopen. Late Saturday the team completed work adding emergency Wi-Fi services to McKenzie River Community Center and to the McKenzie High School in Blue River.
