Home Share Oregon is a 501c3 organization designed to prevent the rising number of homeless Oregonians. They help homeowners keep their homes and reduce mortgage burdens while creating more affordable rental units through our hybrid, online home-sharing program. Home Share Oregon functions on the premise that owner-occupied homes with an available spare bedroom constitute underutilized housing inventory. By matching people who have a spare room with people who need a place to live, we can make a significant difference for our community during the current housing crisis.
Home Share Oregon is also planning to build a Rapid Response Housing list. They will be recruiting homeowners in both Lane and Jackson counties who are willing to house people who may be displaced in the future due to natural disasters (wildfires, etc.).
