With a new clinic on the path to being rebuilt, McKenzie Valley Wellness is encouraging the community to become a part of their membership program. McKenzie Valley Wellness is a nonprofit corporation whose mission is to create programs that foster health, education, and well-being of the McKenzie Community.
If you’re over 18 and sign up by April 1st for a small fee of $10/year, you can join in on the annual membership meeting taking place on Tuesday, May 2nd at 7:00pm at the Upper McKenzie Community Center. During this meeting, members will be able to vote in the upcoming election of the board of directors as well as vote on other agenda items. Current members who signed up in 2022 are still in good standing and do not need to renew their membership. Val Rapp, MWV president says, “We had lots of new members join last summer, and they are all still members in 2023.”
New and existing members who attend the annual meeting can expect updates on the progress of the construction of the new health and wellness building which is set to begin late this summer. MVW is also looking to expand their community network by partnering with local groups.
Membership forms can be found on local bulletin boards throughout the McKenzie Valley or by emailing [email protected]. Completed forms, along with a $10 membership fee, should be sent to MVW, PO Box 381, Blue River, OR 97413.
