Holiday Farm Fire Recovery Funding
A local PIER Selection Committee was established in May 2023 to review project proposals and make recommendations to OHCS.
Letters of interest are being reviewed by a committee composed of wildfire survivors, disaster recovery partners, and special districts and includes representatives from Rural Development Initiatives, McKenzie Community Land Trust, Upper McKenzie Rural Fire Protection District, McKenzie Track and Field, McKenzie Fire and Rescue, McKenzie Valley Long Term Recovery Group, McKenzie Community Partners, McKenzie Food Pantry, McKenzie School District, McKenzie Discovery Center, McKenzie River Locals Helping Locals, and Lane County. The group will formally vote on priorities during upcoming public meetings.
Members of the community and those displaced by the Holiday Farm Fire are encouraged to weigh in.
The Selection Committee will meet next on January 22 and February 7 with time set aside at the beginning and end of each meeting for public comments and questions.

Location: In-person at McKenzie Fire & Rescue (42870 McKenzie Highway) and online.

These funds can be used to support:
- Planning: Activities such as preparing for projects, assessing needs, or conducting economic or risk analysis
- Infrastructure: Rebuilding or replacing impacted infrastructure or building new infrastructure.
- Economic Revitalization: Activities that retain or rebuild businesses or microenterprises and create jobs.
