Support for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities

The ARC of Lane County provides support for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities

Adult Services

The Arc Lane County offers a variety of adult services for people who experience intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Whether it’s finding meaningful employment or recreating with friends in the community, The Arc supports adults in increasing their independence and living full, happy and self-directed lives.

Employment Services

The Arc’s EmployAbility Services are designed to help adults 18 years and older find gainful employment in the communities in which they live. The different employment programs include Employment Path, World of Work, Discovery, and Job Development and Job Coaching.

Community Inclusion Services

The Arc’s Stepping Out Program supports adults in making friends, pursuing hobbies, expanding their interests, learning new skills and exploring their communities.

Family Services

The Arc provides a variety of programs to help parents who are raising a child with a disability.

The Arc can help connect parents to support professionals via its Community Connectors program. The Arc recruits and hires support professionals and then matches them with families so they can help support children and youth both at home and in the community.

In addition, The Arc also provides peer support to parents through Families Connected. Families Connected is one of ten family networks in the state of Oregon designed to help families in their journey of raising a child with special needs.
