A 2023 McKenzie River Holiday Season to Remember
The 2023 Holiday Season on the McKenzie River is wrapping up and we’d like to thank our community, neighbors, sponsors, donors, and partners for making it so special!
The season began with the annual Goodpasture Bridge Lighting Ceremony sponsored by EWEB and Leaburg Dam Bridge Lighting Ceremony sponsored by Lane County on November 20th. Both bridges were decorated with handmade wreaths from the Late Bloomers Garden Club.
The Holiday Lights Kickoff began on December 1st and ran all month long.
We asked you and your neighbors to show your #McKenzieStrong spirit this year and help up light up the river for the holidays! Our community did not disappoint! Here are a few photos from this year’s Holiday Lights, sponsored by New Image Car Wash in Springfield.
Vida McKenzie Community Center celebrated their annual Christmas Bazaar at the Walterville Grange!
Thank you to all of the Vida McKenzie Board Members, community, and volunteers who make this event special every year.
Holiday Bridge Lighting Ceremony and Rafting Parade
The Upper McKenzie Community Center hosted their annual bridge lighting ceremony followed by a festive and fun rafting parade!
Thank you Horse Creek Lodge for your wonderful Raft Parade! It brought everyone out to see the illuminated rafts float by! Thanks to Katie Caulley for starting the caroling at the Bridge, Lane Electric Cooperative and Lane County Government for the lights on the Belknap Bridge, O’Brien Memorial Library – Blue River for an awesome raffle! Thank you Santa for stopping by! And a HUGE THANK YOU TO OUR COMMUNITY for coming to the Holiday Bridge Lighting Celebration!
All month long, our community gathered throughout the McKenzie River corridor to celebrate the numerous holiday festivities. Without our neighbors, none of this would be possible.
Thank you all for a wonderful and festive holiday season! From all of us at the McKenzie Community Partnership, we wish you and your family a Happy New Year!
