Important Wildfire Update + Links – August 11

The Knoll Fire, being managed as part of the Middle Fork Complex Fire, is burning near the confluence of Deer Creek and the McKenzie River. It has prompted a Level 1 evacuation notice for the Belknap area in Lane County and a Level 1 notice for the Trail Bridge Reservoir area in Linn County. 


The Gales Fire in the Middle Fork Complex is located to the south of the McKenzie Corridor.


The Oregon Safe+Strong hotline is available at 800-923-4357 (HELP) if you are in need of mental health support. 

There are also cooling centers located in the McKenzie Corridor to help combat the extreme heat expected this week.

  • Upper McKenzie Community Center
    • 54745 McKenzie River Drive, Rainbow
    • Open as cooling center Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri, and Saturday 11 am to 6pm.
  • Living Water Family Fellowship
    • 52353 McKenzie Hwy, Blue River
    • Open as cooling center Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat from noon to 6pm
